The Light Within

On June 19, 1940, during another very dark hour in world history, Dr. Carl G. Jung wrote a very brief note to Mary Conover Mellon, a philanthropist who was to go on to found the Bollingen Foundation, which later published his Collected Works. On this particular date, World War II in Europe had already begun ten months earlier, and Dr. Jung feared this would be his last chance to communicate with one of his primary benefactors. When I read his message this morning, it brought tears to my eyes, so I feel it is important to share with my readers.
